Dr. Anthony Waechter specializes in a full range of aesthetic medical services including: neurotoxins and dermal fillers, PDO threads and biostimulators as well as the most sophisticated laser procedures encompassing: laser-assisted lipolysis, non-surgical skin tightening, laser skin resurfacing, intense pulsed light, laser vein treatments and Morpheus8. He gives every patient personalized attention, and his expertise in anti-aging procedures ensures that patients are provided with advanced skin care solutions to treat their specific needs.
Dr. Waechter is a residency trained, board certified emergency medicine physician and he brings to his practice nearly 20 years of clinical experience. His diverse background and comprehensive aesthetic knowledge proves his commitment to patients embarking on a skin rejuvenation program.

Dr. Waechter attended the University of Colorado for his undergraduate education, obtained his Medical Degree at the Chicago Medical School – Finch University of Health Sciences, Interned at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado, and attended Residency at the highly regarded Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.

Dr. Ata is a Stanford trained board-certified physician specializing in Aesthetic Medicine. She is dedicated to a more natural approach to anti-aging, enhancing her patient’s inherent beauty by focusing on facial balancing and rejuvenation. With a deep understanding of anatomy and the geometric aspects of the face, Dr. Ata tailors each treatment plan to reflect the unique features of her patients’ individual ethnicities and anatomical characteristics. What she loves most about her work in aesthetics is the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with her patients, empowering them to feel more confident in their own skin. Her extensive expertise encompasses dermal fillers, neurotoxins, biostimulators, PRP, exosomes, lasers, body treatments, and advanced skin therapies—all designed to create a beautifully balanced and youthful appearance.
Dr. Ata completed her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience from the University of Texas at Dallas followed by a Masters in Biomedical Sciences from University of Texas Health Science Center. She earned her medical degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating at the top of her class as a member of Sigma Sigma Phi. Dr. Ata completed her residency at Stanford Healthcare, specializing in Family Medicine. During this time, she had extensive training in dermatology and outpatient surgical procedures, which profoundly ignited her passion for non-invasive aesthetic medicine.
Claire Pearson, RN
Aesthetic Registered Nurse
Claire Pearson joins Aura Skin Spa with over seven years of dedicated experience in Aesthetic Dermatology. Previously a clinical trainer, she enjoys sharing her extensive knowledge of lasers and injectables with both colleagues and patients. Claire is excited to see many of her long-time patients in our beautiful and reputable office, where she appreciates the diverse array of treatments Aura offers.
With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to evidence-based practices, Claire collaborates closely with patients to help them achieve their long-term skin and aesthetic goals. Her passion lies in empowering individuals to feel confident and comfortable in their own skin.
Claire holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Massachusetts General Hospital’s Institute of Health Professions. Her professional journey has taken her through hospitals in Massachusetts and Maine, but it was in San Francisco that she truly fell in love with the art of injecting.
Outside of her work at Aura, Claire is a Certified Lactation Counselor and actively volunteers on the Board of the Presidio Y. She enjoys gardening and cherishes her time with her two young children.

Shannyn brings nearly eight years of hands-on experience in the aesthetics industry, combining clinical expertise with a deeply personalized approach to care. She prioritizes education, transparency, and individualized care, ensuring that every treatment is thoughtful, safe, and tailored while empowering her patients with confidence and realistic expectations. With a strong foundation in advanced laser therapies and body contouring treatments, as well as cosmetic injectables, including neuromodulators, dermal fillers, and biostimulators, Shannyn takes a comprehensive and results-driven approach to every treatment plan. She is known for her attention to detail, refined technique, and commitment to natural-looking outcomes that enhance rather than alter your features.
Her experience as a Clinical Trainer has further strengthened her skillset and elevated her approach to patient care, upholding the highest standards of safety and clinical excellence. Serving in leadership positions has also sharpened her ability to assess, plan, and execute treatments with clarity, consistency, and confidence. Her experience in developing and streamlining clinical protocols further reflects her commitment to maintaining structured, evidence-based standards while still honoring the artistry that aesthetics requires.
Being born and raised in the Bay Area, she attended nursing school in the East Bay where she graduated with honors and acted as Student Body Representative for her graduating class. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Cal State University.
