What Is Sculptra® Aesthetic?
Sculptra® Aesthetic is an injectable filler that is made with biocompatible, biodegradable, synthetic material called ploy-L-latic acid (PLLA), which is gradually and naturally absorbed by the body and helps to rebuild lost collagen through a series of treatments. Injected deep into the dermis, Sculptra® Aesthetic helps the body reproduce lost collagen and over time helps to restore your skin’s inner structure and volume loss.
How Does Sculptra® Aesthetic Work?
Sculptra® Aesthetic is considered a collagen stimulator and is used to diminish facial wrinkles by helping to restore the deep, underlying structure of the skin. Results appear gradually over several treatments, typically three treatments over the course of several months.
Administered via an injection process, as the Sculptra® Aesthetic PLLA micro-particles are absorbed, they help stimulate collagen production. These new collagen strands begin gradually helping to restore facial volume resulting in diminished wrinkles and folds. The result is a more youthful looking appearance without appearing like you’ve had work done.
