Our patients come to us for procedures and treatments because they want results, and we work hard to deliver. We know you’re also interested in results that come with little pain and minimal down time. That’s why non-surgical procedures continue to grow in popularity.
Lots of things hurt your skin. We can help
The skin is designed to protect you from sun, wind, cold and heat. But over time, the elements (and time itself) show up as wrinkles, lines, and spots. Damaged skin symptoms also create the appearance of aged skin, and you might even appear older than you are. But these days, we can repair many of the signs of skin aging.
Unlike surgical procedures, skin “treatments” are considered superficial, but they can provide noticeable results more quickly and require less pain and recovery time. Here are two of the most popular and effective non-surgical treatments that can virtually update your skin:
Injections
- Botox
By paralyzing the muscle groups responsible for some of your facial expressions, Botox can smooth out many of the wrinkles in your face. Numbing the muscle allows your skin also to relax, which diminishes the appearance of the wrinkles in the effected areas. Done properly, the results look natural and last for several months. The Botox injection procedure typically takes just a few minutes and shouldn’t prevent you from immediately returning to your normal activities. You may experience some redness, swelling and bruising at the injection site, but that should resolve in a few days.
- Fillers
As we age, our skin is affected by various factors, including gravity. Wrinkles and saggy skin appear because our skin no longer has the youthful elasticity that allows it to “bounce back.” Injectable fillers are designed to correct the appearance of loose, crinkly skin by adding volume in areas where it has been lost. Some of our most popular fillers brands are composed of hyaluronic acid, a substance found naturally in the body. Hyaluronic-based fillers, such as Juvederm and Restylane, can also stimulate your collagen production.
