Look younger this New Year with Juvederm

Do you want to diminish the appearance of wrinkles? Juvederm can correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles like those around your eyes, chin, nose, and mouth. In addition to creating a fuller and younger appearance, it is also used to enhance the fullness of your lips. Here’s how Juvederm works and what it can do for you.

How does Juvederm work?

Juvederm is a gel made of hyaluronic acid, which is a substance that already occurs naturally in your skin. This substance enhances volume and hydration and is administered as an injection to the face. Throughout the aging process, the volume of our skin will naturally decrease and folds and wrinkles will develop. Juvederm does not require allergy testing and is effective at filling laugh lines, chin creases, diminishing folds, and adding volume to the lips, and other regions of the face.

What will happen during my Juvederm treatment?

Juvederm injections can be performed during your lunch break with no down time involved.  At Aura Skin Spa, a board certified physician will perform your Juvederm treatment. When you arrive for your procedure, you may receive an anesthetic injection. Next, the Juvederm injection will be administered. This usually takes about 30 minutes depending on the patient. Typically, patients can return to their normal activities, but we recommend resting at home after the procedure.

How soon will I notice a difference?

After your procedure is complete, you should begin to notice an improvement in your facial folds and wrinkles. Keep in mind that the injection area may appear red and swollen for a couple of days. You can help diminish the swelling by applying ice. Juvederm treatments typically last up to six months, but results will vary from patient to patient.
